1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for and using SelfLedger ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service & Disclaimer

SelfLedger is a digital ledger and financial record-keeping tool designed to help users track income, expenses, and receipts. SelfLedger is not a registered accounting firm, and the Service does not constitute professional financial, tax, or legal advice. Users are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of their data and ensuring compliance with HMRC or their local tax authority.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

SelfLedger offers free trial and paid ("Basic" and "Pro") subscription tiers. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By upgrading to a paid tier, you authorise SelfLedger (via Stripe) to charge your designated payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Account Settings.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree not to upload malicious code, illegal materials, or attempt to compromise the integrity of the platform. SelfLedger reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Data Loss and Liability

While we implement robust security measures and daily backups, SelfLedger is provided "as is." In no event shall SelfLedger or its operators be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
